A: Simply download the app to your phone. You can find the app in either the Play Store (Google) or the App Store (Apple).
Q: How do I pay for my sitter?
A: With the SafeSit app we have partnered with Stripe to help make paying virtually seamless. As a parent you will pay your sitter through our app. Before the sitting begins you and your sitter will have negotiated the hourly rate and have an estimation of what the sitting fee will be. From there it is simple to pay your sitter.
Q: How much money does SafeSit take from Sitters?
A: When a sitter signs up for the app they are informed that SafeSit will take 15% of their total sitting fee.
Q: What stops me from using the service once to find a sitter I like and then never using it again?
A: SafeSit understands that some parents and sitters may not like using the app for a long term period, however with SafeSit, as we continue to grow, will be adding additional safety features you can not access unless you are using the app. These safety features help parents check on the sitter during the sitting. Also per our agreement if a sitter uses the app to find clients without using the app every sitting, than that sitter is subject to being banned from our service. We recommend parents avoid asking sitters to do this, and we recommend sitters avoid accepting offers like these.
